Overview

Our client, a respected and well-established Law Firm based in the heart of Blackburn, is currently seeking an experienced Financial Mis-Selling Solicitor to join their growing team.

This is a hybrid role – offering flexibility with 2 days per week in the office.

The successful candidate will manage a caseload of financial mis-selling claims from inception to conclusion. Prior experience dealing with CCA (Consumer Credit Act) claims and Undisclosed commission claims is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full caseload of financial mis-selling matters independently

  • Review files and regularly update clients, referrers, and team leaders

  • Liaise with experts and gather evidence to support cases

  • Negotiate settlements or pursue claims through litigation where appropriate

  • Prepare and issue proceedings, including Schedules of Special Damages and Trial bundles

  • Attend Court and liaise with Counsel where necessary

  • Ensure timely communication with clients, third parties, and the wider legal team

  • Actively participate in team meetings and report case progress or concerns

  • Assist colleagues and contribute to a collaborative team environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in handling financial mis-selling claims from cradle to grave

  • Strong working knowledge of CCA and related regulations

  • Confident litigator with strong drafting and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

  • Professional, proactive, and client-focused approach
