Miller Grace Recruitment are working with a Legal 500, International Law Firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Disputes Associate to join its Manchester office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor who is looking to work on high-quality national and international disputes whilst developing their own client relationships and profile within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Partners and senior fee earners across a broad range of complex contentious matters, with genuine opportunities for progression and business development involvement.

The Role:

You will advise and represent clients across a wide range of commercial litigation matters including:

  • Contractual and commercial disputes
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Public law disputes including judicial review and procurement litigation
  • Injunction applications
  • Reputation management matters
  • Contentious insolvency matters
  • Arbitration and alternative dispute resolution

The caseload often involves cross-border and high-value disputes, offering excellent exposure to complex work and sophisticated clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Assisting Partners and senior lawyers on larger, complex matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client and intermediary relationships
  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives including seminars and training events

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 4+ years PQE
  • Strong contentious experience across a broad range of commercial disputes
  • Experience in contentious insolvency would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Ability to manage files independently and take ownership of matters
