A legal 500, Regional Law firm with offices across the North West are recruiting a Debt Recovery Lawyer to join their Bury Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer seeking to gain valuable experience and contribute to a high-performing team within a leading law firm. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of debt recovery matters from inception to resolution. These cases will vary in complexity and involve clients ranging from SMEs and owner-managed businesses to professional service providers, sole traders, and large corporates.
Responsibilities include:
- Handle all aspects of the debt recovery process, including issuing court proceedings, obtaining judgments, and preparing winding-up petitions.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence aligned with current law and regulatory standards.
- Represent and negotiate on behalf of clients.
- Contribute to business development and maintain strong client relationships.
- Supervise and mentor junior legal staff.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, professional standards, and confidentiality.
The ideal candidate:
Qualified Solicitor 5+PQE OR Legal Executive 5+ years’ experience OR Paralegal 5+ years’ experience with experience in debt recovery and knowledge of issuing Court Proceedings.
