Miller Grace turns 6 (months) today!
We are 6 months old today, and what a 6 months it has been! We’ve faced countless threats, been let down by suppliers, set up markets in areas we have never worked in before and built a database from scratch. Not to mention personal issues outside of the business, both testing positive for covid and having to overcome a global pandemic.
BUT that being said, we couldn’t be happier with where we are today.
The challenges have made us stronger and the support that we have had from friends, family, and competitors, paired with the trust instilled in us by our new clients, has been phenomenal. We have made some great relationships that will continue to flourish and have received some very kind words from candidates that we have shared across our social platforms.
There have been many hurdles to overcome, and we have faced some real trials particularly as business leaders, having worked in the sector for over 20 years combined, recruitment is second nature to us – but stepping into the business owner role focusing on Miller Grace’s marketing, finance and legal encounters has been a huge learning curve in our development. What has been consistent is the support and encouragement that we have offered each other and the genuine laughs along the way.
Networking and client meetings have been key to the success we have seen over the past six months. This has been hard as the country emerges from the depths of a pandemic but we have been very lucky to speak at several networking events over teams and zoom. This has given us the opportunity to introduce the service Miller Grace provides as well as listen to the needs of our clients, putting actions in place to take away some of the pain points recruitment can provide. Our vision for Miller Grace over the next 6 months is to find a home and expand. We have set up the business from our back rooms so by the new year we are hoping to secure a new base in Manchester that will give us much easier access to meet our clients and candidates. We also want to recruit several likeminded consultants who understand the importance of building relationships, working hard, and have trust in our vision. We will continue to serve you as best we can and are looking forward to reconnecting with previous clients that we have had to take a break from. So there you have it – our first 6 months in business. We can’t wait to see what things are looking like when at our one-year anniversary. If the next 6 months are anything like the last, we’ll be very happy indeed!
